THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON.......

Hey.... Its been a while since I updated the blog...but this time I have got something which is pretty amazing (especially if you are a Pink Floyd fan)
Now we all know that 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' is the most successful Pink Floyd album ever but what surprised me the most is when the following revelation hit me.
The songs that are present in the album are arranged in the following order
1. Breathe
2. On The Run
3. Time
4. The Great Gig In The Sky
5. Money
6. Us And Them
7. Any Color You Like
8. Brain Damage
9. Eclipse
Now I know you will be thinking the reason why I have mentioned the songs in the order as they appear on the album.....This is the good part.
Now think of the 'Moon' as 'Life'. So the album is actually 'The Dark Side Of Life'So what is the first thing you do when you are born?.... you 'Breathe' which is the first songof the album....also if you notice the song starts with 'heartbeats'...this indicates thebeginning of life...now the lyrics of the song is like getting advice on 'how difficult it isto live life' and what you need to do to survive....its the kind of advice you would receivefrom an elder...

The next song on the album is 'On The Run' which you can say is the kinda life you live since you are a child till you reach your Mid 20's....you are always on the run trying to get to the front of the line...at times by hook or by crook

'Time' is the next song on the list..... very interesting......this is the song that refers tothe time when you realise that you are not getting any younger and its about time you didsomething in life.. as mentioned in song.... at that point in life you remember the facts ofthe hardships of life that is mentioned in 'Breathe' and hence there is a part of 'Breathe' that makes up the last stanza of this song.

You work hard and you taste the success the kind that you would after you've had a 'Great Gig In The Sky'. Now this is a song that does not have any lyrics....its just a women screaming(for those who call it that) but actually they are the screams of a person going through thehardships to make it big and eventually getting there

So now you have the success and also you have 'Money' that comes along with the success....what happens next is what is mentioned in the song.... you tend to get selfish... you want allthe money for yourself....you are insatiable....

Now you start differentiating between people and 'Us and Them' is the song that tells you about that aspect.....

But still since you have the success and the money, you also get the respect....you get theV.I.P treatment anywhere you go.....you can get anything and that to in 'Any Color You Like',even custom made if that is what you wanna call itBut as they say with the Money and the V.I.P treatment you get all the vices as well...you getinto bad company...alcohol....heavy drugs....it could be anything but eventually you looseit... 'Brain Damage' is what you are diagnosed with....and that is how you remain untileventually you get to your end

Now since your life is compared to the moon even the end should be compared to it and what better way than comparing the end of life to an 'Eclipse'..... This song also ends with 'heartbeats'

There you have it.... 'the whole life cycle'....

After I got this revelation it made my belief even stronger that Pink Floyd is truly one of themost amazing bands and 'The Dark Side Of the Moon' is actually an even more amazing album.....
THEIR GREATNESS CANNOT BE MATCHED.....IT CAN ONLY BE APPRECIATED........

This is with reference to the comment left on my post "Stuff from my book"....asking me what about the dryness and the addiction aspect of ones addiction with Mary Jane????? and I asked myself "Oh yes what about it??...why didnt I ever feel this way????....and then guess what??? it struck me...and that's when I wrote this (well actually i typed it in my mobile and saved it as a note but then again whatever makes you happy).....

She can make me strong; she can make me weak;

A troubled and awake mind she can put to sleep;

She was there for me in pain and sorrow;

She showed me the truth, "there was always tomorrow";

And today I stand...In my best time as yet..;

Which makes me wanna wonder..where would i me if we hadn't met;

All I have to say is "In life it's always upto you how you wanna be treated..."

Hotel California

There are so many theories explaning this song that the explanation that i will post may just get lost in the galaxy of theories....but that is not going to discourage me...
You may have heard stuff like... this song if played in reverse is a song to call the devil or this song is a song actually on devil worship etc etc....well but i have a totally different explanation for this song.
Well actually this song was explained to me by my friend...He sang the song...then he explained the song....and then he sang the song again...(it would be an under statement if i told you that all throughout that session we were stoned....it should be understood by now)...
So here it goes.....i am sharing this knowledge with all you people...

• i would suggest that you also follow the same steps of first listening to the song and then reading the explanation and then if you want you can listen to the song again....
• or you can just read the explanation.......but whatever you do it would be really nice if you could leave a comment. And before I begin i just want to add that this may not be the actual meaning of this song, its just an interpretation...

Do you have a so called bad habit like smoking, drinking, doping etc etc...well if yes then think about this song as a person explaing his entire journey of his habit...that is from how he got into this so called bad habit to how he tried to come out of it.....

So here goes... (let us look at this song considering that the so called bad habit is smoking)

(There came a moment where I faced some problems, I thought smoking would relieve me of the stress)

(Just before I could light it I got a wierd feeling)

(While I smoked my cigarette I thought I was hearing voices telling me 'Welcome to the world of smoking')
Such a lovely place

(The voices told me that it was a good thing and it was not going to harm me)
Plenty of room at the Hotel California
(They said "there are many smokers but there is always room for more")
Any time of year, you can find it here
(They said " you don't need a paricular time to smoke, you can do it whenever where ever)
Her mind is tiffany-twisted, she got the mercedes bends
(Although it seems bad, it is very tempting)
She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys, that she calls friends
(There are a lot of people (businessmen, actors, etc etc) who are into smoking)
How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat.
(How the people continue to smoke even when its affecting them in a bad way)
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget
(Some smoke just for fun, some smoke to ease the stress or forget the pain)
So I called up the captain,
’please bring me my wine’
(I thought to myself even though I have been smoking I am not feeling better)
He said, ’we haven’t had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine’
(Thats when I realised 'all that doesn't happen')
And still those voices are calling from far away,
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...
(And now I am so addicted to smoking that even if I don't want to I have to smoke.)
Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place

They livin’ it up at the Hotel California
(There are still voices showing me the better side of smoking which i know does not exist)
What a nice surprise, bring your alibis
(The voices tell me that its a nice surprise that you are now tryin to deny smoking)
Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
(Although this habit is all very tempting)
And she said ’we are all just prisoners here,of our own device’
(People told me that they were so addicted that they felt like prisoners to the habit of smoking)
And in the master’s chambers,They gathered for the feast
(They went to many places which tried to help us quit this habit)
They stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can’t kill the beast
(They tried really hard but were not able to quit this habit)
Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
(Now I felt the need to get rid of this habit and get back to the normal life i had)
’relax,’ said the night man,
We are programmed to receive.
(But then I felt the habit telling me 'it does not matter how badly you want to get out of the habit, its not going to be possible)
You can checkout any time you like,
But you can never leave!
(Cause it may be possible to quit temporarily but you will never be able to leave the habit)

You can write this off as just another theory...or you can give it a thought...the choice is yours...

Learing to Fly

One of the best revelations had by my two friends and myself is this :-
Ever heard the song "Learning to fly - Pink Floyd"; ever wondered what is it all about??? Is it just a guy talking about his experiences of flying for the first time or is there a deeper meaning...

Well if you think about it...it is just a guy talking about his experiences of "flying" for the first time...
I have explained it below...
But just before you read it I just want to add to it that maybe the person who wrote this lyrics did not write it with the following intention..but its really surprising how it can be interpreted in the other way... Simply the power of Revelations

• The experience would be better if you can hear the song
• I have explained the song in a first person perspective

Into the distance, a ribbon of black
Stretched to the point of no turning back
(Describing the night sky - probably the time the person decided to "fly")
A flight of fancy on a windswept field
(Describing the place - a windy field)
Standing alone my senses reeled
(I am alone and all my senses reeled inside of me)
A fatal attraction holding me fast,
(I am being tempted to blaze the joint)
how Can I escape this irresistible grasp?
(this line says it all; And i take my first drag)
Cant keep my eyes from the circling skies
(that feeling you get when you are just starting to get stoned)

(now i am beginning to get stoned)

the following lines can be interpreted as what goes on in the brains when the marijuana is hitting the brain :-

the following part describes the feeling you get when you are completely stoned :-

Theres no sensation to compare with this

(the lines say it all; i have reached that next level; nothing else can take me there)

So this is the interpretation of this song.............Do let me know how did you like this revelation....

The Humble Beginning....

What i am sayin may sound wierd to the normal ears, it may be too stupid or crazy of a normal brain to analyze...but my stoned friends out there may agree with me; but hey!!! even if you are not one of those types its ok....just go ahead and read the posts and may be you will understand the real meanings of certian things...or as i say "you may have a REVELATION".

So my Stoned friends ever got stoned and had a revelation....ever wanted to let the world know about it...well I know I wanted to and thats why i created this Blog to let us tell the masses about our thoughts; about our revelations.....

So go on type it out....the time has come for you to tell the people out there about your revelations.... or simply comment on the other revelations

And all my normal friends...hey dont feel left out...this blog is not encouraging you to smoke up... but its just there to tell you guys about the thought processes that goes on in the mind when you are at a different level altogether....and hey if you too have had a revelation be free to join in.....
